We’re a family business – literally, seven out of our nine regular employees are members of our extended family! Before we started CandyAppleCostumes.com in 2006, we sold costumes for more than 10 years at our bright pink brick and mortar store, Party Makers, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
We’ve always paid close attention to our customers – what they want and how they want it! Now we’re using that day-in, day-out experience with people of all ages to come up with creative costume ideas – from build-your-own costumes with accessories to new ways to pair up costumes for couples. We’ll feature new “fresh picks” often on this blog!

Kristin is the web manager and assistant buyer for CandyAppleCostumes.com. She worked at Party Makers as a teen, and her favorite time of year was Halloween, when she’d run around frantically in the crowded store trying to help as many customers as possible. These days, she is also a writer, wife, and mom of two girls, who love to try on costumes!
